One of my friends is working with D2h, he has confirmed that the new HD box software will be released after 15 April 2013(currently in testing phase only) and it will enable the recording feature in HD boxes and also dolby digital sound will be enabled.

He also confirmed that there will not be any new major channel additions till IPL is over. However the negotiation talks for Spark Punjabi are on with broadcaster and that channel might be added in near future.
