I had booked a D2H connection vide their customer ID no. ********* dtd. 08.11.2012 and expecting this installation  24 to 48 hours as committed by your customer care executive, but nothing has been done till date.

pl dont put cust id, you are requested to edit the same and follow the below steps mentioned:

1. you can call to their customer care number which is 180088110111 (toll free),

2. send them mail to '[email protected]';

3. put it on their fb page.

4.you can also email to nodal officer which is [email protected]

mail you will get reply only next day.

you can call in the other customer care no which is 09082099999 or 09250092500, surely cc will receive your call, press button 5 once you have selected the language.
 
Even I faced this same problem. I booked it online on 1st of November. The guys came the second day to install. But due to some reason, It was not possible to install that day and so the two 'Engineers' went away and promised to come the next day i.e. on 3rd, Saturday. But after that I had a harrowing experience to get in contact with them. First they talked and said that they will come on the Saturday, but after that I was never able to contact them. Even after complaining to the CC on 09250092500, my DTH was installed on 6th November and that too, I think I was lucky that their engineer picked up my phone.

Actually, I understand the sentiment of the topic poster.
 
This happens sometimes as they may not have more staff and getting lots of order daily. This shows how much popluar d2h is.

I think Installation Delay Due to Extra Workload On Diwali time ...Otherwise I Book A Installation For Karthik's Village And Installation Done in 3 Hours After Booking. Everybody Know Diwali is Most Selling Season Of Electronic including Dth so Delay in Your Installation But it is not always......
