It will start rolling out through OTA from 14th June. Only MPEG 4 STBs will get the update. Both Tata Sky & Tata Sky+(SD) boxes will get the update, all manufacture one by one. MPEG 2 boxes will run with the same old UI.

Gud Update, Its because Old boxes will be replaced by Mpeg4 soon.

& it is the easy way to check whether ur box is mpeg2 or mpeg4... :lol

@ Bapun : Technicolor is now on update, will any other box will start by 14th?

Tata Sky's latest made STBs are of Technicolor which has the newest hardware that's why they updated those STBs first. Humax and Thompson are next. :tup

Good to see but cc guys doesnt know anything. And also one point is that if it not happen on mpeg2 then who got this first update its mpeg2 stb.

Yes, sadly CC has no information yet as usual. MPEG-2 boxes will not receive the update and they will have some exchange offers for that.

Thomson is mpeg2,not sure about Humax.

Hawai box is Mpeg4 & TS Sd+ also.

@ sunil ji: Technicolor Is an Mpeg4 & stb count is higher then other boxes brands so they r doing it first.

Sorry i meant Hawai, it was a typo. I have Humax MPEG-4 STB.

mine is humax but sadly i think its mpeg2[no signal of hd tp] so i will miss this update.......

So Humax made both MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 boxes for TS.
