I have read somewhere that trai has given a very weak reason for NTO 2.0.... They are saying that 5 top broadcasters are filling all the capacity fees space of 75 channels under NTO 1.0 by pushing unwanted channels along with driver channels which in turn creating trouble for small broadcasters..

In NTO 2.0 , Suppose a channel like Star Sports Rs 19 will not be placed under any bouquet and need to be selected individually as a-la-carte channel then its a SAD NEWS for DishTV and D2h users as a-la-carte has a locking period of 30 days in both DTH.
A Cricket series will be for 7 days and we will be stuck and paying for star sports for 30 days lol
Be patient. Broadcaster already know this trick. They won't let any dth operator to remove any channel after 7 days when 2.0 will apply. Even if they allow to remove, you have to pay in full, not per day basis..

Operators decide lock in period and in new regime broadcasters cannot sign exclusive deals with operators then how can they make any DTH operator change its lock in period policy?

In Tata Sky, Airtel your money doesn't get deducted if you activate Star Sports in morning and unsubscribe by evening.
How is Star getting the subscription money from such subscribers who do this then? This is a huge hit on their revenues if they don't get compensated.
