TRAI issues FAQs on new regulatory framework for broadcasting sector - TelevisionPost: Latest News, India’s Television, Cable, DTH, TRAI


The FAQs is divided into six parts. The first part contains general concerns regarding the new regulatory framework. The second part is about the general understanding of the new framework.
The third and fourth parts deal with the obligations of broadcasters and distribution platform operators (DPOs) under the regime.
The fifth part deals with a whole host of issues that concern the end consumers. Finally, the sixth part has the list of TV service providers and list of important website.

Bro,Discovery Family HD pack is only Rs.9 with the channels:
Discovery HD World , Animal Planet HD World , TLC HD World, Discovery Kids ,D sport , Discovery Jeet HD ,Discovery Science and Discovery Turbo.
Wherein Discovery HD and Animal Planet is good channels for infotainment that too in HD, D Sports for sports lovers, Discovery Kids for Kids.
If all networks,keeps channel bouquet like this atleast those who are DDF members having enough knowledge by following our forum will surely take this bouquet.For sure iam going to take this. Those who are paying Rs.40 for sun then why not Rs.10 for Discovery in HD.

Coming to Sony, Sport lovers atleast will select Bouquet of Rs.19 with Sony Six , Sony Ten 1 or Sony Ten2(Rs.17) , Sony BBC Earth and Sony Yay.
Because mostly all the international matches rights are with Sony except few like matches in India ,ICC Matches ,Bangladesh and New Zealand.

All will be shorted I think but we need to wait for 2to 3 months. According to new tarrif if we choose HD than they will not give us SD channels so if we want both as we are watching now we need to pay more so batter we need to wait for 2 to 3 month. NCF and channels bouquets price need to reduce. As per Trai they think that only 130 channels mainly watching in India than why they are giving licence to lots of new and fta channels. What is mean of that. So I think Trai persons take decision raisionaly
