According to me, not Zee, Viacom will be biggest looser.
Zee TV is much popular than Colors. Also, people will be attracted towards Zee for their so popular regional channels. Viacom's regional channels are not so popular. As a example, our family demand for Zee only for Zee Bangla & Zee 24 Ghanta, but nobody wants Viacom channels coz nobody watch Colors Bangla.

Not true for Kannadigas, for instance. Both Zee and Viacom are preferred to Sun and Star. Star, however, can afford to sustain its struggling Marathi and Kannada channels because of its high-flying Telugu and Malayalam channels and its decently-performing Tamil and Bangla channels.

TRAI new rules are killer for all providers. Sony is worried and the panic you can see even from their advertisement by Amitabh Bachan. Not every customer need sports channels. Moreover, in the sports category, most of the people will subscribe the channels playing cricket only for example; Star Sports 1, Ten 1 or Sony Six covers most of the events related to Cricket and to some extent few Football events. Same is true for Hindi category channels of these providers. Suppose if a customer is happy to watch CID and Adalat then he can subscribe Sony Pal at 0 rental. For example, a customer like me may choose Sony Pal and Sony entertainment and leave out Sony Aath, Sony Sab and other channels of Sony. Such moves from customers on a huge scale can cause big issues for channels to get advertisement from advertisers and from direct customers. These new TRAI rules will kill channels with lower TRP Rating and viewership. Expect a lot of channels to be closed soon because of this move. The same thing also applies to other networks including Zee Network and Star Network. More number of channels means more troubles for a network provider

According to me biggest gainer will be viacom 18 and biggest looser will be zee network after trai new rules now let me clear this

Star network
Star network will easily survive and will find place in most of tv boxes due to its sports content ,ipl rights , world cup rights and they hav there own sports leagues all arround year ... there gec channel star plus also have good quality shows ...so star plus will survive because of sports and entertainment channel

Sony network
Sony network also have good sports channels and sports rights ...so cricket , football fans cant miss sony channels + sony also have rights of bigg banner movies and there entertainment channel sony tv also have good quality shows like the kapil sharma show..so sony channels will be also in safe position

Viacom 18
According to me after trai new rules biggest gainer will be viacom 18 for sure... If you lives along with your family then you also know how valuable colors tv is for families and people who watch tv along with families they will never miss viacom 18 channels..colors tv hav most appealing shows like Bigg boss ,khatron ke khiladi ,naagin 3...there reality shows are always on top of trp...biggest advantage with colors tv pack is that it will be available at low price compare to all other network packs because they have less number of channels so every one will there packs because it ll be affordable ...plus viacom 18 have good music channel like mtv beats...good kids channels like nick....they already have storng position in english entertainment with colors infinity...so good content and affordable price viacom 18 will be biggest gainer.

Zee group

I dont know how zee group will survive...they have nothing that appeals people to subscribe to there packs ...
They dont have any good sports channel..
There music channels like zee etc and zing are already fail
I don't find any zee tv shows appealing ..

Actually they don't have sports channel.

Bro you only considering viewership and output...viacom 18 will be in better position even if they get half subscription compare to every other big Networks like zee , star , Sony... because viacom 18 inputs are very less compare to other Big Network ...like Sony , star and zee they invest large money for sports rights or either for large number of big banner movies...but colors they dont invest in sports ,invest very less in movies compare to other networks , they invest very less in regional markets ...still if they get half subscribers compare to zee network they ll be lot better condition than zee

ZEE is dominating regional market. They also have most good new Bollywood movies. Unlike Star and Sony they always airs recent movies and shuffles their line up cleverly. Sony will be the biggest loser. Other than sports they have nothing good to offer.

The value of the broadcasters will clear after Trai new rule. This is beginning and they have set their maximum prices. Trai told that single channel price not more than Rs 19 so all broadcasters make their single channel price as 19 and also star and Sony make their HD bouquet price price so high and definitely they will loose their HD viewership. If we refuse to subscribe these channels bouquets they will definitely reduce their prices or give some kind offers

Zee is leader is Maharashtra so no worries for Zee in Maharashtra.
Zee Bangla, Zee Sarthak, Zee Ganga are number 1 in their respective market.
Zee Kannada, Zee Tamil & Zee Telugu are strong number 2/3 in the respective markets.
Zee TV, Zee Anmol, Zee Magic, & TV are channels which regularly feature in top 10 in Hindi GEC, Hindi GEC Rural & Hindi GEC Urban.
Even in case of News Zee News and Zee Business has good viewship. Same goes with its Marathi, Bangla and some other regional news channels.

So Zee will definitely benefit. As in its packaging it will push not that popular channels.

People are not that particular about the channel especially in case of news. For example if a person from Maharashtra subscribes for Zee Marathi package giving Zee 24Tas and also subscribes for Network 18 Marathi package and gets News18 Lokmat same person may not go and opt for a standalone News channel. It will affect ABP Majha, Jai Maharashtra, TV9 Maharashtra etc even if its free people will select only 1or 2 of these.

Same will be the case for Many such networks. Maximum benefit will be for big broadcasters. Zee, Star, Network18, Sony. Smaller groups will take a hit viz TV9, ITV network, ABP, B4U, Raj TV etc.

N if De want de will Go by only alacarte way...4 Example If you choose A la carte Channel of Star you will be Getting all typ of popular Star channel in just 41 rs.. except sport channel .. Which no body watch All the tym in india...Evn if except sports i take all Main HD channels frm Star alacarte My total price will be less Den der provided HD bouquet ....So Frm Middle class ppl point of view N also by going BARC rating .....

Not entirely true zee will not get affected much.
South viewers will not subscribe to Hindi due to high price and zee will continue they got good Hindi movie channels and regional channels.

All Brodcasters are equally affected give quality program and survive.

Mainly all Hindi channel subscriber base going to reduce now onwards.

Hindi speaking states are hand full only.
