Direct to Home (DTH) operator D2H, a brand of Dish TV India Limited has introduced Box Service Plan at Rs 99 per year. The introduction comes hardly 2 months after Dish TV rolled out the same for its customers who can avail of the service since the end of July.
D2H customers can enjoy hassle free service of their set-top box with the pack which allows them to extend their box warranty or get fresh warranty for 1 year.
The service can be availed through the D2H website at Rs 116.82 including taxes which is located within My Account page on the D2H website after you log in. One needs to enter their customer ID and VC number to be able to signup for the service plan.
The plan can be availed after the expiry of the primary warranty period which will be subject to the verification of the STB by the technician of D2H as to whether the same is in working condition.
Defective STBs will have to be repaired initially at the expense of the cost borne by the customer post which only it can be allowed to sign up for the box service plan.
Incase, the box turns faulty during the contract period then D2H would provide a refurbished set-top box free of cost. The customer might have to pay the charges for technician visit, if in case the grievance is resolved by the technician without the need of replacement of its STB.
The service plan however only covers set-top box without remote control, LNB, viewing card, cable, connector, and any physical damage to Set-Top Box kept out of the purview of the contract.
