Tata Sky
In November Tata Sky added 3 new channels which include 2 platform services and just 1 broadcaster channel. Tata Sky Seniors and Tata Sky Kannada Cinema were the platform service channels added while FM News is the normal satellite channel added. Despite just a few channel additions Tata Sky removed 3 satellite channels namely News India, Jai Paras, and Bangla Naaptol. It also removed 11 channels from the FTA complimentary pack.
This month lots of pack changes happened in Tata Sky. After removing 13 Long Duration Packs (LDP), the operator has launched 7 monthly and 8 LDP packs but most of these long term packs are available for new customers in selected locations only.
In November Tata Sky ended ‘Bundled Offer’ which was offering 6 months free Tata Sky Binge subscription to new connections at Rs 4999, the operator launched another similar offer which now offers 1 month free Tata Sky Binge subscription to new HD connections.
Airtel Digital TV
Airtel Digital TV (ADTV) has added 8 channels this month while just 3 channels were removed among which one was discontinued from the broadcaster’s end. Prarthana Bhawan, Twenty Four, Sudarshan News, Sadhana Prime News, Shandaar Cinema, Public Movies, Gemini Movies HD and Gemini Music HD are the satellite channels added on ADTV.
The channels which are removed include Power TV (discontinued by the broadcaster), Malai Murasu and Superhit TV. ADTV has also removed ITV Network Channels, Kushi TV along with some other channels from its FTA bundles.
ADTV has also modified price for some of its packages. The cost for DEL MP CG RAJ Superstar Dhamaka, AP SD, AP SD Plus, TN SSP HD and TN SD Plus packs have been increased by Rs 10. It has launched new curated packs too named Freedom Entertainment HD, Freedom Sports HD, and TN Regional 1M HD Urban New.
Dish TV & D2H
These 2 operators weren’t much active, Dish TV added 2 satellite channels Bizz 24 and PTC Simran while D2H added PTC Simran. In mid-November, D2H changed channel numbers for 7 Zee channels namely Big Magic, Zee Anmol, &Pictures, Zee Bollywood, &TV, Zee Anmol Cinema, and Zee Action.
Sun Direct
Sun Direct hasn’t added or removed any channel but it has fulfilled a big demand of its customers, the operator has finally removed huge 30 days lock-in period from channels and packages, now there is a 0 day lock-in period on Sun Direct. The operator also changed LCN for 3 Sun Network channels Chintu TV, Chutti TV, and Kushi TV.
