Jantantra TV bags MPEG-4 slot in 51st DD Free Dish E-Auction

Jantantra TV has bagged the MPEG-4 slot through the e-auction on a pro-rata basis from 1st January 2021 to 31st March 2021.

Prasar Bharati earlier today announced the list of successful channels of the 51st DD Free Dish online E-Auction held today for the allotment of vacant MPEG-4 slots on the DD Free Dish DTH platform. The E-Auction saw one MPEG-4 slot alloted to Sangeet Audio India.

Jantantra TV has bagged the MPEG-4 slot through the e-auction on a pro-rata basis from 1st January 2021 to 31st March 2021. The channel is a National Hindi News channel based out of NCT.

The bidding in the e-auction of MPEG-4 slots was open to all genre (language) channels at a starting reserve price of Rs 28.91 Lakhs.

Separately, Star Utsav Movies, Sony Wah, and Filmachi recently bagged slots on DD Free Dish platform through the recently concluded 50th DD Free Dish online E-Auction. The channels will be going on-air on DD Free Dish effective tomorrow. Star Utsav Movies, Sony Pal, and Filamchi will be available at channel number 74, 80, and 82 respectively.
