Star India to launch Vijay Music on 4th October

Star India has unfrozen its plan to launch its Tamil Music channel Vijay Music which is now set to launch this Sunday. The launch of Vijay Music with coincide with the launch of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 4 on Vijay TV which will make it a Super Sunday!

Star India has rolled out advertisements on Vijay TV teasing the launch of the channel with animated dancing dolls with headphones telling viewers to Get Ready!

Vijay Music will be available to a-la-carte subscribers at Rs 1 excluding taxes. The channel is unlikely to be available in existing bouquets with Star India unable to push its new Reference Interconnect Offer.

Star India had initially planned to launch Vijay Music on 1st February 2020 along with Star Gold 2 HD, Star Movies Select, and Star Sports 3 HD. Star India however deferred the plans to launch Vijay Music with NTO 2.0 impasse pouring water over its plans to push a new Reference Interconnect Offer (RIO) which was followed by the COVID-19 induced lockdown.

With the NTO 2.0 impasse likely to drag on further, Star India has chosen to go ahead with the launch of Vijay Music cometh Sunday. The launch of Star Gold 2 HD, Star Movies Select, Star Sports 3 HD, and Disney Channel HD continues to remain on hold until further intimation.
