Sun Direct changes LCN of English movies and entertainment channels

DTH Operator Sun Direct on Tuesday has revised channel numbers of all English Movies and general entertainment channels (GECs). The change marks the beginning of a major LCN change that is planned to be completed in a few upcoming weeks. 

Colors Infinity, Star World, Zee Cafe, Comedy Central, Movies Now, Romedy Now, Star Movies, Sony Pix, MNX, &Flix, VH1 and FTV India are the channels whose channel numbers are shuffled.

Colors Infinity is now placed on top from LCN 451 to LCN 401, followed by Star World from its previous position at LCN 454 to LCN 403, Zee Cafe’s position is changed from LCN 460 to LCN 404 and Comedy Central is now at LCN 406 instead of LCN 465.

In the English movies genre too the sequence of channels remain unchanged with Movies Now on top at LCN 407 from earlier LCN 401, Romedy Now at LCN 408 from LCN 403, Star Movies at LCN 409 from LCN 404, Sony Pix is at LCN 410 from LCN 406, MNX at LCN 411 from LCN 407 and &Flix is last in this category at LCN 412 from LCN 408. While FTV India and VH1 positions are changed to LCN 416 and 414 respectively.

The operator has repositioned English movies and GEC genre on EPG, earlier English movie channels were placed above English GEC now it’s opposite as entertainment channels are coming before movies. We expect this genre sequence to be replicated in other languages as well.
