Jenuse Mohamed ropes in Prithviraj for a sci-fi movie...

Director Jenuse Mohamed has done a 180 for his upcoming project. After making his debut with the romcom 100 Days of Love, the filmmaker has chosen a sci-fi thriller for his next that has a stellar cast of Prithviraj, Parvathy and Nithya Menen as the leads.
On the yet-to-be-titled movie, Jenuse tells us, "It will have a genre unexplored in Malayalam. It will be mostly science fiction and also a horror-thriller. Right now Prithviraj, Parvathy and Nithya are confirmed. I am sorting out the rest of the cast and technical crew."
The film would mark the third collaboration of Prithviraj and Parvathy after Ennu Ninte Moideen and My Story, which is currently being shot in Portugal. The upcoming movie will also have exciting locales, says the director, who has also scripted the venture.
"Most of the movie will be happening in Himachal Pradesh. We will also be filming in a few places in Kerala. We are hoping to start shooting after March next year," he adds.
Meanwhile, Prithviraj's next release will also be a horror thriller titled Ezra, which is set in the present and 1930s in Jew Town in Mattanchery. Last year the actor had also reportedly bought the rights of Spanish sci-fi thriller Timecrimes, which deals with the concept of time travel. However, Jenuse confirms that his film is not the remake of that movie.

Prashant Narayanan all set for his M-Town comeback...

Actor Prashant Narayanan, whose Bollywood screen credits include Rang Rasiya and Murder 2, is game for only exciting roles in Malayalam, he says. And his roles in Mollywood films such as Unnam and Edavapathy prove just that. The actor's latest project is the upcoming 10 Kalpanakal, which has him playing a different role once again.
"I play a medical representative who has got a devious mind. The kind of things he does is what comes naturally to him," says Prashant. "His journey takes him to a dark path and at the same time by the end of the movie, the audience will figure out his reasons for taking that path."
The actor though downplays that the movie marks his return to Mollywood. "I wouldn't call it a comeback. That's just the way I work. I want the role to be exciting if I have to sign up for it and Don Max's film ticked all the right boxes," he says.
Working in the movie has been a different experience especially considering that Don is an editor turned director, Prashant says. "When you work with other directors they tend to shoot a lot of scenes that are often left on the cutting room floor. Don is a technical person and he knows exactly what is required in the final cut. So, he doesn't waste time," he adds.
Meanwhile, Prashant is also part of R Paneerselvam's upcoming Tamil movie Naan Thaan Shiva, which has newcomer Vinod in the lead. "I play a savant and a genius of sorts who speaks four foreign languages. He is a master of chess and has a huge ego issue with the hero," the actor says.
