DTH updates Airtel gives FTA channels without NCF

Thanks to Airtel Selfcare Bug if you add/remove a channel then your monthly rent will get a hike because the bugged system calculates the complimentary FTA channels into NCF and increase it accordingly.

You have two options : Either change the whole package everytime

or

Tweet to @Airtel_Presence and ask them to remove the complimentary channels from the VAS pack added to your account. You can use the hashtag @Siva created - #AirtelNCFBug

Don't worry, it should be smooth for you. For some reason, most of the times they called on my number they couldn't hear my voice, but I could hear them. Also, I had to get this removed from 3 different accounts hence the delay. Just tweet them with that hashtag and they will call you and remove it.

I have no problem I change my pack daily I am enjoying free channels from airtel so I don't want to remove free pack

Funny thing is they didn't call me when I brought this issue to their twitter handler. Instead the rep asked me to DM my customer Id and voila!!!! These guys are much better than the CC agents who handle the calls. Maybe that's what they're trained to do. Not everyone uses/knows twitter and rely on calling Customer Care.

No it isn't because now when I want to add extra alacarte, my NCF changes drastically, it shows 144 channels and NCF of 199 Rs.

call CC and ask them to remove the free bundle pack which they have added including naptol channels and channel count will come back and make sure the NCF is also reduced , same thing happened to me also...
