D2H not giving universal remote with HD STB

It is just an excuse. Mostly there is no issue. If there is any they must resolve. Case could be that remote is out of stock. So many types of universal remotes floating in the market and these dth companies (d2h, dish untrue hd, tata sky for hd+) can't supply one? How reluctant...

Yesterday i booked new d2H connection online, within 5 hours engineer come and install the dish and setup the box. the prompt and fast service is really good.
i checked on many sites that universal remote come with videocon d2h, even written on BOX, but they gave me normal remote, when called on customer care, they told that there was many issues reported by customers for universal remote so they stop providing that.
i want to confirm from community friends is this is correct or i got wrong remote?
