But the question arise if Star Sports wants to show the same thing in every channel then why they bought so many rights is this not a stupidity.

They hav 6 chs ..if they r showing same cricket live match on 3 chs for 3diff users ...still they hav 3 chs left on which they r showing other live events including epl sodhi winter olympic aus open n other football action....btw for u kind info those 3chs of live cricket FOR 3DIFF USERS is earning them more than ur other live events as they r soon looking to lauch another lang feeds for cricket n 2more hd chs ..

N more importantly ss is the succesfull ch n involve people of higher order so how can u quest them as stupid ...

Its easy to talk ill abt others work than to do ur own work succesfully ...

Issue is why ss showing recorded programs instead of live football. Now it is showing recorded programs and highlights on ss1 instead of fa cup quarter finals, la liga etc. main reason is the current star sports programming team used to handle gec earlier and have no idea of sports programming unlike ESPNSTAR guys who all came from sports background. You just need to check out the difference in the programming between fox sports Asia and star sports.

Fox sports asia gives preference always to live programs instead of recorded programs instead star sports gives presence to live cricket then highlights of cricket then recorded programs of cricket and then live non cricket. This is because of sheer lack of knowledge. If you tell a plumber to make a dining table then you know what the result will be, the same is the result with star sports currently.

Now they are launching two more HD channels which will show hockey India league and Indian super league in HD while epl la liga etc will still be shown on two channels!!

Why u guyz hav pro with ss ..if they show aus eng sa matches on 3 chs n bang afgha matches only on 1 ch then u will say they r only promoting big team matches ...n showing on 3chs is for diff users as i explained earlier as ss1for eng users , ss3 for hindi users (with hindi scores)n sshd1 for hd users so how can they remove from any of these ch...

N they r showing football acc to indians needs...what is the use they show all football matches n only few 1000 people watch it ....its better they show live cricket intead of it ...

I agree when there is no live cricket they should show live other sports but showing all ICC EVENTS ON 3 CHS FOR 3 DIFF USERS IS NOT STUPIDITY ...ITS PURELY BUSINESS N SENSIBLE...

You are grossly underestimating the football viewership in India. The same thing Star did & faced massive protests which forced it to broadcast football on SS1 & SS2 as well.
And stupidity is broadcasting same T20 match on SS1 & SS2 on which the feed will be English. And I am sure SS is not planning to air World Cup feed in any other language apart from hindi & English as of now.
Cricket is dominating sport in the country and it should be given due space I agree. But using all the channels for a single event is foolish.

Well Ayan Bro you will be agree with that a whole blame is to go to the right holders they buys and prefer them to sold on Star Sports is the conspiracy against Ten network which has a wonderful range of channel but don't has the right because right holders first preference is Star Sports if Star refuse then they go to Ten and then other network rights distribution is not going on perfectly.

I guess the rightholders prefer Star Sports more because it belongs to a big network unlike Ten Network.

Off topic:btw Ten Sports these days gone mad.Earlier some sports events live in HD only and now right now Sky Bet Championship same match live in SD on Ten Sports and Ten Action

SS should get them selves good experienced programming guys from outside.I think it would be better if they launch 1 SD and 1HD channel.No use of launching 2 HD Channels at the moment.

Well i think Star is a big network because it belongs to 21st Century Fox.21st Century Fox is really big.Zee Network is not that big as 21st Century Fox.21st Century Fox present also lots of big countries whereas Zee only available in some countries
