Tata Sky has stopped selling SD boxes for new connection, it's details are now removed from their website and new connection page.

Hell yeah. This is exactly what was needed. It's 2020 and broadcasters were launching new SD channels all around. The base should be HD hereon. With TataSky's move and lack of new SD connections, hopefully, broadcasters will rethink of launching new SD channels. Let them launch new HD and maybe in few years down the line, we all can hope for 4K channels in India. One can hope right?

The only downside is that the cheapest box starts at ₹1400. Otherwise a much-appreciated move where TS is leading the way, like Apple moving to only USB-C ports on its computers.

And yet the reluctance to move from lightning port to USB-C for iPhone.
