Theoretically is it possible to make current hd box with usb recording enabled to record channels from a single transponder?
How does this mosaic feature works- it displays multiple channels at a go.,but at very low bandwidth though
.the same principle cant be applied for usb recording?

I don't think in HD Box, you will be able to watch one channel and record another. Either you watch and record the same channel or record a channel when you are away. Technically there is a possibility to record all the channels in a mux at the same time. ie, all the channels in a transponder having same freq, polarization but different PIDs can be recorded. But it needs more horsepower and not sure if the USB 2 can handle so much of data transfer. So, they will limit recording one channel at a time in HD box.

But in dvr as it has SATA hard disk., can it record more than one channel from single tuner?

I have practically recorded more than one channel from same transponder on my HTPC using TS Reader software on a Technisat DVB-S tuner. So it is possible to record more than one channel with single tuner. But DTH providers may not implement such features as it demands more powerful hardware capabilities.

After reading so many reviews with all other dth , i feel D2h is better for quality wise and package wise

so i plan to go for d2h but still i had some queires.

now in this post i come to know USB recording will be enabled for HD STB

so i dont want to go for DVR D2H???? please suggest me..

Please let me know what is use of PIP mosaic ? it is possible to watch channel bcz i hve panasonic tv with cable connection which has PIP option in tv itself, so now i can able to watch live running channel in PIP.
please let me know likewise in D2h using pip mosaic option can i able to watch channel Simultaneously??
but when i ask a showroom abt this , they said it is not possible.
